A hideaway in the beautiful and majestic surrounds of Sherwood Forest for magical weddings, incredible events and breath-taking parties.
This is a wonderful spot to get married. The forested clearing and all of the pathways are great, and we saw loads of wildlife on the day we were preparing the venue, which was lovely. Sherwood Glade is a venue where you have a lot of scope to do things as you want, which can be a bit overwhelming. Fortunately Joanne and Mark are very knowledgeable and professional in how they go about things, and with their knowledge base and industry know-how you are in good hands. We are thrilled with how our wedding went at Sherwood Glade, the setting was wonderful and the day could not have gone better.
We had the wedding of our dreams at Sherwood Glade!!! We originally booked our wedding with the previous owner and so we were a little apprehensive when it was to be taken over before our wedding. However this was the best thing that could have happened, from the moment we met Joanne and Mark we knew we were in very safe hands. With all their experience and knowledge of the industry, they helped us plan and execute the most incredible day, from answering every email in record timing, meeting us at the site for multiple chats, helping us set up in the days before, to taking the time to understand our detailed running order of the day, ensuring everything ran smoothly on the day. We didn’t have to think about anything, we could just enjoy our day knowing it was in safe hands. Joanne and mark were generous with their time, ideas and effort, nothing was too much trouble for them, even our slightly obscure requests. So many of our guests commented on the venue, how beautiful it was and how they plan to consider it for their own events! My one uncertainty about the venue was being next to a main road but once you are on site, it feels like you’re in the middle of nowhere (in a good way!!). We can’t thank the team at Sherwood Glade enough for helping us have the best day of our lives and we’re excited to see what happens in the future for them! Thanks again, The Dunkings - 17/08/24

We attended a family wedding here in July 2023 and it was absolutely beautiful - perfect for a magical and chilled out wedding surrounded by nature.
Had the wedding of our dreams here last week.
The setting was perfect and James was so helpful and friendly throughout the whole process.
Literally everyone who came said how amazing it was and we might be biased but it couldn't have been more perfect for us !

We were privileged to be part of a wedding recently where we brought Elvis out eagle owl to meet and amaze the guests after the ceremony.
This is a lovely natural venue with plenty of space in a dramatic woodland setting.
Check it out if you are looking for a woodland wedding. The mature trees really do make for a stunning location, and of course it is the perfect place to add some birds of prey or an owl ring bearer to bring your natural theme to life.

Sherwood Glade hosted our wedding in the summer of 2021. It is the most gorgeous venue and we feel so lucky to have made some incredible memories there. Being a non-traditional couple we absolutely loved the outdoor setting, everyone agreed that the venue felt like a fairytale. All of the communication with the team was excellent. With the workload that comes with planning a wedding we could trust that Sherwood Glade's team were there to support us. They were efficient and clear, and happy to accommodate us and our requests. If you're looking for something a bit different for a wedding venue or event venue we can highly recommend Sherwood Glade.
We chose Sherwood Glade as our wedding venue and we are so happy with our decision and experience! From visiting the venue for the first time to our actual wedding day, James was so relaxed and enabled every request we made, allowing us to have the wedding day we wanted. The venue is gorgeous for photos and the fire-pits were perfect for the evening. Everything went as we planned and we felt the smooth running really allowed us to enjoy our day even more! I would highly recommend James and Sherwood Glade as a wedding venue.
Absolutely amazing venue. We had our company summer party here and James could not do enough to help us. The teepee was so welcoming due to the rain during the party, but this did not spoil the fun we all had. Would definitely recommend Sherwood Glade for any event, and will definitely be using the venue again. Thank you so much
If you are looking for a venue for an event... get down here and check it out. This place is perfect for many types of functions we used it for our wedding day.. they worked WITH us for everything we wanted within budget (they gave lots of ideas on how we could make it just perfect) which they did; they created the most perfect setting for our day. I can not recommend this place highly enough x
We came to the Eats & Beats ticketed event on the August Bank Holiday weekend. Despite all festivals being cancelled this year this was a tiny slither of summer normality which was greatly appreciated.
There were portaloos available and hand sanitizer (although could have maybe done with a few more being dotted about). The bar staff came to our tables to take our orders and brought our drinks back to us, and we were able to pay by card. There was a variety of food stalls and barely any queues because it was such a small event.
The small signposting for Sherwood Glade at the road turning did mean we had to make a last minute, sharp left turn but this minor matter was the only negative, although is probably more to do with the event than the venue.
